So proud to have had so many of our students representing our school and community in this year's Blossomtime Parade! What a sight to see Armani Collins truly shine as Miss Blossomtime 2024! From Youth of the Year to Benton Harbor Royalty, our Tigers were quite exemplary. Couldn't imagine a better way than our students closing out the parade in style! Way to go! #TigerPride #BlossomtimeParade #TigerNation

After further consideration, Dr. Kelvin Butts, Superintendent of the Benton Harbor Area Schools, has withdrawn from consideration for the Niles superintendent position. He wishes to focus on the continued successes of Benton Harbor Area Schools. “At the inception of the position of principal at Fair Plain Middle School, I had the mindset of staying, being determined, and retiring from this District,” he stated. “I am still committed to that mindset and doing the work here.”
Butts became interim superintendent of Benton Harbor Area Schools in 2022. The Benton Harbor Area Schools Board of Education solidified a 2-year contract with Dr. Butts as Superintendent last year. Under his leadership, the district has seen significant progress in academic achievement, financial stability, and community engagement.
The unwavering support from our Benton Harbor community doesn't go unnoticed. We deeply appreciate it, and this further strengthens our commitment to building an exceptional educational environment for every student in our district.

Thank you to the Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety for providing our young learners with an exciting opportunity to learn about fire safety! Our students had a blast! #ItTakesAVillage #TigerNation

Friendly reminder, there is no school tomorrow, Friday, May 10th, due to a District-Wide Professional Development.
